In Academic Year 2008, Research and Regional Cooperation Headquarters acted as the main body for community contribution activities. To nurture the talent and the community that will open the door to the future of Iwate, many efforts, such as establishment of liaisons with industries, community contribution, and promotion of research, were made.
For establishment of liaisons with industries, many results were achieved, such as the construction of the Takizawa Village IPU Innovation Center , and the largest number of joint research in the school history. We will continue to contribute to and be an integral part of the community through various activities.
To promote the school's IT industry integration scheme, efforts, such as obtaining four IT companies as tenants for the Regional Cooperative Research Center, and the construction plan for the Takizawa Village IPU Innovation Center, were made. Furthermore, significant results were achieved in various areas, such as promotion of joint research, support for obtaining of outside research funding, and creation and management of intellectual property, as specified below.
