Admission Status for Academic Year 2009

As a prefectural university, we are working on reforming our admission policy and strengthening the network with high schools to meet the higher-education needs of Iwate's residents and to acquire motivated students. In Academic Year 2008, we worked on AO admission policy publication and made improvements on admission examination dates. We also made efforts to publicize the appeal of the school through admission information sessions and campus tour sessions.

As a result of such efforts, the number of applicants for undergraduate schools increased for the 2009 admission from the previous year; junior colleges also achieved a certain level of enrollment. We will continue to work on making the university more appealing through quality education and student satisfaction, and promoting measures to accept students who match the school and the education we offer.
