Graduates of Academic Year 2014 and their Employment Status

We maintain the implementation of IPU-E Map at Faculty of Software and Information Science, Faculty of Policy Studies and Morioka Junior College and also support the development of Career Education by setting up “IPU Employability Development Committee” on campus.

While making use of the project of “Acceleration Program for University Education Rebuilding” adopted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, we have been able to improve and strengthen the Internship program, expand the employment supporters system, and promote the IPU-E project. Besides making these efforts to support the development of students’ employability, we also implement a guidance for parents, promote the employment within Iwate prefecture and strengthen the preparation of the civil service examination.

インターンシップin東北

The importance of Internship in career education at universities has been increasing.
Utilizing the “Acceleration Program for University Education Rebuilding (Education enhancement through Internship etc.)” funded by the Ministry of Education, IPU has been promoting it in association with other universities such as Yamagata University, University of Aizu, Sakura no Seibo Junior College and Morioka University.
In the 2015 academic year, we started the operation of a portal site called “Internship in Tohoku” as a tool for sharing Internship information in Tohoku, and following the facilitation of searching information and application, the number of student participants reached the highest level ever. At the same time, as the result of sharing data of businesses and organizations accepting Internship at universities mentioned above, it became easy for students to find Internships at their local area (For instance, a student from Yamagata prefecture may find an Internship in Yamagata), and this year there were 6 cases of Internships that crossed prefecture borders.
We will release the information on this portal site throughout the year in order to expand the benefits of Internship programs and recognizing participating local businesses and organizations.
